An Inconvenient View of Global Warming

This piece in Newsweek by an MIT climatologist introduces a note of sanity to the discussion in the mainstream media. Money quote:
The current alarm rests on the false assumption not only that we live in a perfect world, temperaturewise, but also that our warming forecasts for the year 2040 are somehow more reliable than the weatherman's forecast for next week.

I don't watch much news but I'm getting the feeling that global warming is slipping down the back slope. If that's in fact true, it makes me wonder what's on the up slope in the minds of socialist propaganda mills such as those at NW.

A very interesting article. I have downloaded it for future use as here in Japan global warming is considered a simple fact of life. (along with the truth of evolution) I am glad that a magazine such as Newsweek was able to present such a view.
